There are a lot of sorts of ornamental molds you can create with concrete. Concrete is each sturdy plus versatile in its ability to be both purposeful and decorative for outside decor. It may hold decorative objects inside its casting, in addition to be molded into the shape or structure of a quick object, like a leaf. Making leaf molds can enhance the natural look of a garden, whereas still bringing out decorative components that are distinctive to the house owner's style. 

Find a leaf. Be certain it's a pronounced vein system therefore it'll show up in the mold. The dimensions of the leaf is up to you.

Pile sand or dirt. Onto a table top, pile a little dirt or sand into a little mound. Do not create a mountain, rather an evenly piled mound of sand or dirt. Then cover the pile together with a plastic trash bag.

Set the leaf. Set the leaf face down onto the pile therefore the backside of the leaf is facing upwards.

Cut the chicken wire. Pre-cut the chicken wire to the approximate form plus size of the leaf.

Mix the concrete. Follow the directions on the back of the package for mixing the concrete.

Apply the concrete. Apply a thin layer of concrete mix onto the rear of the leaf.

Set the chicken wire. Place the chicken wire on the back of the leaf onto the concrete.

Add another layer. Apply another thin layer of concrete. Smooth out the edges.

Let it dry. Dry the concrete, making certain to not let it dry too quickly as it will cause breaking. If below hot conditions, mist occasionally along with a spray bottle. After drying, peel off the leaf to reveal the concrete mold.
