How to hook up lights for miniature house?
I have to hook up a scale model house with lights and electricity. When we first started, we were using lights meant for sidewalks and such; pretty powerful. They would go dim if we had more than three turned on.
We switched to Christmas lights, which allow up to four rooms to be lit at once. We are using a old phone charger to power the house. How could we fix it so that all the lights could be on at once without any of them going dim?
I would use LED lights

they are 1.95 per hundred -- that's under 2 cents each not bad
Get a wall wart power supply to run them. MPJA has them too.
Check the Ma rating on the power supply each LED uses about .018 amps (18 ma) so add up all the lights you want to use and get a power supply that has enuf amps to handle the load.
The white leds are more expensive but might be nice too

be careful of the voltage on the LEDs they need about 3 volts to run right
You can use a 6 volt power supply and run pairs of led in series to get the 6 volt drop you need.
Watch the polarity of the leds and use a DC power supply.
